Title: corporate stations Post by: sargas on August 14, 2014, 12:36:35 PM I would really like to see this upgrade.
Title: Re: corporate stations Post by: JamJulLison on August 14, 2014, 07:56:12 PM This has been talked about in the past. Even mentioned by SirEmi. But yes I want to see it. When it will happen I have no idea.
Title: Re: corporate stations Post by: lisunken on August 14, 2014, 09:09:19 PM I believe as we move out of sol. we need a corporate stations for resupply and refit ship without going back to sol. Since play field getting bigger and distance travel is longer.
Title: Re: corporate stations Post by: raphael on August 14, 2014, 10:24:59 PM Yep, this would be nice. :)
Title: Re: corporate stations Post by: Dadds on August 22, 2014, 03:29:26 PM one of many things that was suggested as an upgrade before the pledge system came into effect. Another one was hangar combat deployment. Been waiting patiently for that one for a long, long, long, long, long.....ad infinitum time

Title: Re: corporate stations Post by: Rostin on August 24, 2014, 06:56:27 AM What would you guys think of having the ability to set up corporate embassies in orbit around Earth? I was just thinking about this and wanted to brainstorm "out-loud" a little bit...
Corporations could pay a hefty tax to [SOL] on a monthly basis and it would generate an immovable, indestructible station at Earth that other players could interact with. When a player clicked on it it would start a pre generated conversation where a receptionist would basically tell them who to contact about diplomacy, recruitment, trade, bounties, etc. and would allow the player to maybe send a public message to the corporation that could be seen by its members. It would seem useless right now, but in the future when we have corp stations, ability to trade/sell modules, and (hopefully) more players, it would be a great way to let newer players know about the corporations out there and give them an easy way to contact members about the aforementioned areas. You'd think the forum would be enough, but data shows that the corp threads on here are not very effective at relaying corporation stance, recruitment policies, and bounties to the general populace of AG. Thoughts? Like I said, this is just an initial thought and I am typing this at 6am (but still night-time for me) so this could all just be the rantings of a sleep-deprived madman... Title: Re: corporate stations Post by: lisunken on August 24, 2014, 04:02:45 PM mmm. welcome corp station with all donuts you can eat. :wow: I in.
Title: Re: corporate stations Post by: raphael on August 24, 2014, 09:58:07 PM Yes, your idea sounds good, Rostin. :)
Title: Re: corporate stations Post by: SirEmi on August 27, 2014, 10:53:21 PM I agree, new corporation features could be a new project for development.

Title: Re: corporate stations Post by: Rostin on August 28, 2014, 01:27:22 AM I figure an exception can be made for Earth...
Title: Re: corporate stations Post by: sargas on August 28, 2014, 01:36:06 AM I can see that, but with a small station only (4 slot maximum)
Title: Re: corporate stations Post by: sargas on August 28, 2014, 01:38:43 AM oh, and stations need manufacturing bays (among other improvements)
Title: Re: corporate stations Post by: Rostin on August 28, 2014, 01:47:10 AM It wouldn't have slots. It would just be a hull that players could interact with. The only residents would be a receptionist and custodian...
Title: Re: corporate stations Post by: sargas on August 28, 2014, 02:19:59 AM There are no station hulls that are available that do not have at least 1 slot for module deployment.
Title: Re: corporate stations Post by: Rostin on August 28, 2014, 02:25:11 AM Oh my god Steve... You are not getting this...
This is why it would be a NEW thing. The players wouldn't put these up. They would pay a fee to SOL and then a station hull (just like the ones already at Earth) will instantly pop up orbiting Earth. When a player clicks on it they will be greeted with a nice little character image that I'm sure we all love and a message like; "Welcome to the S.S. Syndicate Embassy! How may I direct you?" and then several options to go to from there like recruitment, bounties, diplomacy, trade, information, general inquiry, etc... EDIT: The fee would be to make sure we don't just have tons of useless stations orbiting Earth from non-active or One-Man corps Title: Re: corporate stations Post by: sargas on August 28, 2014, 12:10:19 PM oh, I understand it now. it might be good to have...
