Title: alien artifacts, who do they belong to?
Post by: sargas on August 30, 2014, 12:09:38 PM
If a player is investigating the artifact, it is his.

If a player discovers one and leaves without investigating, the artifact is open for anyone in much the same way as an abandoned COM mission.

I disagree. As long as the player has a ship in the system they should be allowed to claim any wrecks that they find first.

There are 100 quadrants in this cluster. There is no need for people to fight over wrecks

Without investigating.  That means it won't even have their name next to it.

Oh, well then duh. How would you be able to claim it without investigating it Sargas?

you cannot, I never said you could. I was explaining the only time to take one.

If you find one and do not pay the RP to investigate, it doesn't belong to you.

It belongs to the first person to spend the required amount of RP.
