Title: Press Release - IMG Operations underway at Saturn -
Post by: Dadds on April 27, 2013, 08:44:17 PM
"Many pilots out there have probably noticed a build-up of Military and Mining presence around the orbit of Saturn in System Sol. This move is to help consolidate our presence within the Sol system as we move closer to a vote of confidence in a newly proposed Galactic Council (GC). When the Galactic Council Charter is eventually voted and agreed upon by the 3 Corp (Superpowers), the details of the agreement will be posted in a newly created Topic in News & Strategy for all to read and comment upon."

"Our position within the Saturn system is to facilitate the roll-out of the council and as the administrative HQ of our Galactic Council representative. All petitioners seeking resolution with an issue regarding other pilots actions can be submitted here(Saturn) and all ships will be offered Sanctuary within its orbit."

"Any attacks upon this facility will be met with THE STRONGEST RESISTANCE AND RETALIATION we are capable of mustering against the aggressor, and their corp should we deem it a political assault"

"On the note of Sovereignty, we hereby unofficially declare Saturn to be our base of operations until the charter is fully approved by the council of three. Saying this, we would kindly ask pilots [ITO]Mavericks and [SOL]Radoshar to remove their mining operations from the atmosphere of Saturn. It is blocking our proposed building and infrastructure plans. Demolition orders have been submitted at IMG HQ for approval to remove unauthorized structures. "

"Said Pilots will have (7) days of this notice to comply to our request or submit notice in writing to [IMG] HQ as to why they believe they should be allowed to operate within this zone. Due compensation and/or relocation costs may be considered at the discretion of the home office of [IMG]."

"Failure to respond within (7) days of this notice will result in automatic approval of the submitted demolition order submitted by [IMG]. That is all for now"

Dadds, Commander-in-Chief [IMG]

I see that now and removed my remarks.

I, myself, have been playing by the rule:

'You can keep it as long as you can hang on to it (unless I want it)'...

darnit, i missed Sargas' initial comment. Would have made good reading lol. Anyway, as JamJul points out, the charter isnt in place yet. <tick, tick, tick, waiting> so it is primarily a request to said pilots, plus a chance to test the proposed charters standards if they come into play. We are not bully boys muscling others out of any claim to mine in Sol, nor will we remove them by force without any notice what-so-ever. The proposed charter was drawn up with some of our standards of gameplay included. Here it is demonstrated as a test to the general population and as goodwill toward fellow pilots.

I see in particular Radoshar is quite active in the Saturn system. i see his vessel again in orbit around there. I do hope he is paying attention to current events on the forum.

<edit for addendum>
oh and P.S. the amount of modules we have in the orbit of Saturn, and the station ops currently there, would leave slim pickings for any other player anyway. While their sites will be safe from us in this zone, for now that doesnt prevent other players from raiding their bases. If it was my modules in question, i would be talking terms on relocating with us and come out with a win LOL

you are willing then to help them relocate?

(my earlier statement was addressing the fact of your claim-jumping...lol)

Telling them on the forums probably won't do any good. For some reason there are people who just can't find the forums. This goes for other games as well. Not just this one.  Best to just message them in the game.

@ Sargas haha no nothing like that. if they want to claim prior possession etc then so be it. Look at it more like a buyout offer to relocate. Besides, who would want to be trying to compete on mats mining with our resources there. not much profit in it.

@JamJul yeah no problem mate. I think the PM's have also gone out to the pilots in question. I just wanted to make it public to test the upcoming GC charter and get viewers prepared for the concept ;)

as per executive order from the office of IMG [ITO] mavericks module has been removed from the saturn system after the request timer of 7 days expired with no correspondence from the pilot.
[Sol] Radoshar still comes under the newbie protection offered by the corporation for the next 10 days and will be removed after that expiration if the pilot fails to respond to this notice to remove

Oh as I see, you really try to provoke them!

Raphael is a 1-man show. A funny amusement and a passing fancy is all that will amount to his taunts. Like a jester we will toss him some scraps before running him out of town.

Doesn't matter how many times you attack/destroy them, the playground will always be rebuilt and the playmates will always return.

These ships are actually just for manufacturing (coz I have too much solars that I don't know what else to do with them) so they won't be going anywhere anytime soon. IMG should better get used to having the Syndicate around. :))

well the definition of a syndicate, or a corp, is more than 1 member to comply to corp structure, so i dont think the syndicate will be around for very long at all. If you have so much money to keep throwing away with repairs and replacements, then so be it. You should consider donating it to a charitable cause rather than waste it as canon fodder for my team to have some target practice on.

You are wrong there. The Syndicate will be around for a very long time.  :))

Donating? Nah. I could buy QPs though and just destroy your HQ with a sped up attack.. Hmmmm..   :21:

Go ahead and try it. bring ALL your fearsome ships lol You couldnt scare a girl guide with your weapons loadout. I have enough ships in the area to cost you hundreds of QP to even try to have a shot at the title and then you will fail miserably and totally. i am more than willing to pauper you if you are crazy enough to play this "big tough" stance. You are a flyweight when it comes to putting up a combat fleet

Dadds might I suggest you put in a request to add him to the outlaw list?  Blatantly attacking one of your outpost, making it well known he will keep doing it and all this happening in the Sol System.  These are certainly grounds for suggesting it.

yeah i was waiting to catch up on my GC representative so he can formally put an end to his little game with a declaration request. you only need a bb gun to shoot his stuff down. Some pilot called Snoopy shot his stuff down last time LMAO! A tiny class II or II hull new player shot down the mighty fearful Admiral Raphael. Maybe if he (Snoopy) applies to join us i may accept haha

Lastest news concerning vagabond Raphael: In defiance to my holdings at Saturn, Admiral Raphael initiated a combat counter against my forces positioned there. After some clever in-close combat maneuvers by my fleet after assessing the power ratios, we were able to take the upper hand in pushing for the combat early to repel the aggressor.
As this was a defensive reaction we dont believe there was a contravention to the GC rules regarding combat within the Sol System. We are now conducting a counter-strike as is our right in defense our territories. Reports to follow:

Report   Attacker   Defender   Location   Att power   Def power   A/D % lost   Date/Time
View Battle   Admiral Raphael   Dadds   Sol->Saturn   2,013   697,295   25.00% / 0.00%   05-Oct-2013 13:37

Defender opened fire!

SSS Playmate1 Vs. Scout Master
Weapons assault
Scout Master maneuvers into fire range and attacks first.
Scout Master attacks with Laser Cannon MK LXV using standard mode.
Hit on target, doing 98124 damage!
EMERGENCY JUMP!
SSS Playmate1 has retreated from the battlefield due to heavy damage!
SSS Playmate1 lost some cargo while executing the emergency jump...
Scout Master searching for dumped cargo...
SOL Station Mk I, 136 m3 Fuel Cells scooped into cargo bay.

Attack&Waste QPs again Snoopy Vs. IMG HQ
Boarding assault

Objective: Destroy 10% or more of the enemy while losing less % then the enemy.

Attacker defeated!

.........And my follow up:

Saturn

Attacker opened fire!

Scout Master Vs. Attack&Waste QPs again Snoopy
Boarding assault
Scout Master maneuvers into boarding range first.
Scout Master sending Marines Assault Unit MK CCC to find a boarding spot.
The boarding party found an area and sabotaged it, doing 9227 damage!
OVERLOAD IMMINENT!
Attack&Waste QPs again Snoopy exploded in a ball of fire!

Target cargo bay was empty.

Objective: Destroy 10% or more of the enemy while losing less % then the enemy.

Attacker victory!

Thanks for the free fuel Raphael. Keep those fuel barges coming my way. At this rate you may become an asset to IMG. Keep on with the attack counters, i love them!
I will be approaching the GC for a ruling to have Admiral Raphael added to the list of outlaws after continued antagonism and total disregard for the rulings of the Galactic Charter and a senior member of the GC

I dont see any ships or stations in Saturn now. IMG gave up already?  :))

Anyway, once PMI and NHC approves that I'm an outlaw, Sol will burn. I've got a flagship with over 6 million power now (with 3.5 million shields) and any base in Sol will have to be somewhat defended to survive a sped up attack.

I'm sure my flagship is not a problem for PMI, but for NHC? They've got bases in Sol and 0,0.

Or will the GC kick NHC out of the alliance? Now that would be interesting! :))

My actions are only directed towards IMG, but if PMI and NHC wants to join, then the more the merrier! :)

Rafe, if you will recall, I have asked for your participation in combat.  The situation in SATURN orbit concerns nobody except you and me.

Please, read no involvement from any corporation.

I am acting upon my own just because I got tired of waiting for you to show up.

Raphael, you talk tough and boast your "mighty" ships but i dont see them anywhere. Come on out to play if you want a real man's combat. Anyone can boast a "powerful" ship but has it got what it takes to take on a quality crew and fleet?  Quit picking on the little inactive folk out there and try your luck at the main game. Or are you still remembering and smarting over the last combat lesson i gave you.
My flagship is here waiting if you have the "intestinal fortitude" to bring your scurvy fleet out of hiding and to stop pinching candy off babies for a minute.
And now i see you have the jaberwock after you also. Seems everyone is starting to call in your boasts and bluffs. Time to play your hand out Raphael, its "showtime"

I would like to point out that if the vote should be approved going after NHC doesn't get you anywhere.  Their leaders seem to have vanished and to be honest we are trying to figure out what to do about them. It really wouldn't be fair for their members to get dragged into this conflict.

Your tough talk Dadds still doesn't change the fact that you moved your HQ coz you're afraid of logging in and finding out that your HQ is destroyed. LOL

And BTW, Jabberwock just lost.  :))

LOL my decision to move HQ has nothing to do with your puny attempt to cause unrest here. so far all i have heard about is how powerful and allmighty your ships are and yet you start combat counters with me using floating derelict hulls that a boy scout (and a guy called Snoopy) can blow up without any effort. I am not sitting around for months waiting for you to finally get around to sending a vessel my way. My vessels and stations have better things to do than wait around all day for a "gunna" to come and attack me. I know its all the combat you know, to sit around and wait for someone to go inactive and undefended before you come in and attack them. So you know where you can find me, just send me a PM and i will come and meet you on equal terms, or if you prefer, i will give you 2:1 odds. That should suit a chicken like yourself

Maybe if we keep this personal like, between SSS and IMG, then the GC can ratify me to go "weapons loose" around Sol so that i am not bound by laws that you are not bound by, Raphael. Self imposed laws designed for the betterment of newer players. I am happy to go with either option. Full GC outlaw status or acknowledgement that this will be a blood war between our 2 corporations until one of us calls it finished and petitions for mercy lol
JamJul is correct. Taking it out on an inactive squad because you cant beat me in a fair fight is not only wrong, its childishly wrong. I suspect if you do take it upon yourself to turn on NHC, then like Pearl Harbour you will bring about your own destruction at the hands of many.

Ponder my thoughts, followers of this thread. I am "MR Congeniality" when it comes to doing whats best for all concerned
