Title: The Solar Enterprises Corporation
Post by: Rostin on September 11, 2016, 02:15:06 AM
As the final signature graced the charter, the gel pen gliding effortlessly across the paper, a bead of sweat rolled down the admiral's face.
"Don't make me regret this..." the chairman warned, eyeing the fearless entrepreneur in front of him.

"You have my word Sir Emi" the new administrator bowed, as a childish grin became all too obvious on his already glowing face.
Some would argue paper to be an archaic form of record keeping, but Rostin couldn't be happier, as he snatched the document out of the chairman's hand and sprinted down to the forum for final processing and ultimately legitimization.

This was no ordinary business venture. Nor was this going to be an ordinary corporation. Rostin had established himself as the first independent franchise owner of the Solar Corporation.

He relaxed his grip, remembering that paper was not as durable as the datapads he was used to carrying around. Ideas raced through his head; only slower than his own body racing down the corridor.

Before the day was done his ships had been resprayed. Carefully folded and stowed were the flags of New Rome, sitting neatly next to those retired from his days in the Syndicate and Red Light Planet business ventures. The proud banner of the S.E.C. ran fresh above the bridge.

"Crew, retract fuel lines and release docking clamps. Set engines to full staff and take us away! We have a business to start..."

The official stance of the SEC is peaceful towards all that return the peace.

The SEC welcomes the practice of mutually agreeable skirmishes between consenting captains. If a captain and an SEC member wish to skirmish, all messages pertaining to the agreement of said skirmish must be recorded for documentation.

Until further notice all module and tech merchants must come to the SEC from their respective corporation. This is in effect until such time that the SEC has a secondary leader.

Future fueling and trade depots shall be established asap

Also, following the lead of my esteemed member Avante, our base in Sol will be at Europa

Please refrain from establishing orbital command structures there.

Thank you.

Hopefully you can retain them, and not quit after a month. Good luck!  :)

BTW, tell me if you want some help (modules or QPs for the newbies). We wouldn't want newbies to quit after a month.  :))

Just an update on our latest efforts here at the SEC. We have had one mission completed by a member so far and I have just assigned two new missions to other members today. I have made the rewards such that there is a real incentive to explore the aspects of the game involved with the mission. So far I think it has and will be very successful!

If this is an idea you could see your corporation implementing let me know and I will happily share my mission briefing format and give you an example of one of our missions + the rewards I give.

If you would like to hire me to write missions for your corporation members, send me a private message and I will write out mission briefings for you at the rate of 1 QP per mission briefing.

I'm serious. LOL

I'm willing to pay 2 QP daily (about 60 QP per month) for a task that will only take 3 mins per day. That's 2 million solars for 3 minutes of work. :)

We just finished drafting up our official mission statement :)
Solar Enterprises Corporation [SEC]
Mission

The vision of the SEC is to realize and protect the advancement and security of mankind. We serve as stewards of the Sol system and the vast local cluster of the Orion Arm of the Milky Way. By extending trade, research, and defense across the stars our mission is to serve humanity and protect the Terran way of life.
As our civilization advances across the vast emptiness of space we will bring, with progress; rapid communication, swift response, and a thorough investigation of the cosmos.

A brief update on our current activity :)

We've had people join and others go inactive, but the SEC retains a solid core of active and engaged members.

One member who has just joined us is Robby the Gr8! Who some may recognize as being a senior player.

Recently we completed a large and very beneficial trade deal with SPQNR and are now setting our roots down in our first colony system.

Good to see your impressive growth. Not sure the galaxy is best served by "protecting the Terran way of life" though  :))

"Not sure the galaxy is best served by "protecting the Terran way of life" though"

As I read this I couldnt help thinking of the old story where the punchline is that what we see as stars, the characters in the story see as body cells .... and humanity "exploding into space" is a particularly aggressive virus
