The cluster down there is brilliant But after Nova and auto pilot bug (Don't auto update Star maps) there is no sense in Deep Space exploration...

The nearest found cluster from MotherEarth is large and it's border starts around sector 24,34 (80 jumps of 16LY each) 1365.8 LY in a northeasterly direction.
Wormholes to (and from) the new sector are found in ring 5

Other than the galaxy at roughly (30,30) has any other galaxies been found? I've done a circle of ring 6 and 7 but not found anything...and gave up after realizing I'd be dead before I explored out to ring 30.

Went to the 500th ring years ago. I would sponsor an expedition to the 10,000th ring. Who's interested? I will provide the necessary diamonds for the trip and back.

I'm not so interested in going out that far. I am interested, though, in doing a complete sweep of the area in, say, -100,-100 to 100/100. Doing some quick math:
200^2=40,000 sectors. Total LY's to traverse them=32ly/sector*200*201=1,286,400 LY (assuming a spiral pattern originating at Sol)
For example, in a frigate, WHG 50, scout ship optimized, NAV officer, VIP, it takes 318m^3 fuel to go 16LY and takes 15minutes to do so. = 25,567,300 m^3 fuel = $767,016,000 Assume Diamonds are used as fuel then ~$1 billion = 1,206,000 minutes NAV calc time = 837.5 days
If 5 active corps/independents put up, say, 5 ships each this could be accomplished in about two months time. In the grand scheme of things the money is fairly trivial however the time commitment is big.

Raphael, How many diamonds are we talking about?? 10.000 * 22 LY = 220.000 LY Normal jump range 17 LY needed 2x 220.000 / 17 ~ 62.858 Jumps If you ship makes 7 Jumps / h t/r it would take over a year..

I think your math is off a bit.
Distance across=32LY Therefore 10000 ring * 32 LY/ring = 32000 LY
A moderate WHG 50 on a frigate with Nav Optimization X + Nav officer + VIP = 318Fuel/16LY jump. 320000LY * 318 Fuel / 16LY = 6,360,000 fuel one way. With VIP 1 Diamond = 58 fuel. Therefore you'd need to carry 6360000fuel/(58 fuel/diamond)= 109655 diamonds (which if purchased at Sol would be a mere $230millon solars - a pittance given the epic nature of this quest). You have 7 cargo slots on a frigate (after the necessary WHG slot). You'd therefore need to build out 7 fairly modest ACB 210's to carry all the diamonds you'd need.
Each 16LY jump with the above takes 15 minutes. You'd need to do 320000 LY/16LY/jump = 20000 jumps. At 15min/jump * 20000jumps = 300000minutes = 208 days (assuming you jumped immediately after the timer finished.) Of course you'd abandon the ship - it would take 2x the fuel and 2x the time to bring it back again.
That is the lowbie way to do it. Alternately you could have your frigate with 4xWHG 500's which would dramatically increase the diamond cost and ACB mark required for huge decrease in the total time it takes to do the trip.

I hope you know that if you use auto jump you wont find anything even if there is something there. You need to do manual jump. I had done some to the north and west of main cluster. I planned it in Autocad to be sure not to miss anything.

I'm keen to know how you did that in Autocad? I can't figure out where I am, exactly, within a quadrant. You get an 'idea' of where you are looking at the Starmaps page but it is not like knowing you are at (3.1287,-1.8472). Does Autocad help with this in some way?
