Title: Jump Distance
Post by: Aysle on June 14, 2013, 03:46:31 AM
Ive always found it odd. You can jump 16ly (or 12 without VIP) by direct entry of a direction. However if you use a Nav Comp position the jump is only 15.88 LY (or I think 11.88).

Any reason why we cant make 16ly jumps when using the Nav Comp? Its not a big difference in jumps...but when your making 10+ jumps in a row the difference does add up and eventually equals an additional jump before you are there.

Yeah I agree on this. Hell sometimes when a planet is just outside the 16 ly range our ships can still set a course for it and make the jump.

I'll check it out, it might have something to do with rounding and calculating the trajectory / direction of the jump, in order to get shortest possible route...
