Title: Caelus Marketplace
Post by: Rostin on January 24, 2015, 07:18:27 PM
For those of you who don't know this, I have a station at Uranus that is publicly buying Xenon, Mercury, Bromine, Silicon, Silver, and Moissanite.
So if you are looking to sell any of those materials and want better prices than Earth; look no further!

I also sell Diamonds and Medicine as it comes in from my COM ships.

Fuel!

We need cheap fuel (at least cheaper than SOL CORP prices).

Right now, the only place I know that will allow you to purchase fuel in SOL System for less than SOL prices is at Rose's Cantina, an EoS station orbiting Mercury.

Provide a cheaper fuel source and pilots will visit your station for other commerce.

edit because - I want all to know that I will sell any cargo to anyone who has a station that permits it.  As of now, I will sell to a declared 'free-trade'  station (Caelus Marketplace) and will negotiate other items for sale with them as they come up.

Free Enterprise. Let the market (and not SOL CORP) dictate cost and price.

I know Darrell usually has fuel for sale at the Moon, but I don't get enough extra fuel currently to sell. The diamonds I sell are meant to be compacted fuel basically

I have found that the fledglings from Earth don't have the room to buy 'X' amount of Diamonds (for example) and then try to convert it and see that they do not really have room to hold the resulting fuel.

(edit - no disrespect is meant to the fledglings)

the 'usually' is nice, but it kinda needs to be steady...

Ok, you try having an accessible marketplace and keeping it supplied regularly with fuel. People buy thousands of units of fuel without blinking so keeping that stocked is significantly harder than keeping a more costly material around

Roses's Cantina, Hernando's Hideaway, and the Shady Rest are having no trouble keeping up with the demands of fuel consumption.

Are any of those in Sol?

Once I start my mining operations I will try to provide fuel in Sol as well.

Really? I tend to burn through most of the fuel I get from those...
Then again, I am running on WHG Ls.

WHG LXXV

WHG-C minimum here. However much extra fuel they take easily outweighs the profits of getting to, and thus starting and finishing my next COM earlier. Every ship is worth 200 K an hour basically.

I usually don't run them on full power.

But fuel hasn't been a major concern for me in a long time.  'ell, I sell the bloody stuff.

I'm spoilt because of the Wormhole Cruiser. Everything else, including mk X scout-optimised ships, seem sooooooooo bloody slow now.

Yeah. I got a reminder of how slow things were at the very start, when I jumped a mk I WHG/mk I ship that shall remain nameless 0.1 ly from Sol, back and back to Earth to reset its accidental blind jump calculation.

My station at Uranus is now buying Nickel, Danbaite, and Oxygen (MAU supplies)
Sales of Medicine and Diamonds will continue as well as Argon sales from the planet itself

I have been away from the forum too long. lol. Let me chime in here now.  My first post since returning to the forums. Anyways a lot of my ships anymore run MK C Wormhole Gens. Some are even running MK CC's now. I have no issues with fuel at all. The diamonds I get when I occasionally do nest are more then enough. After doing 1 nest my ships don't usually need to refuel for months. The only ones with fuel issues usually are newbies. In which buying raw fuel is a cheaper and more viable option for them then buying diamonds.  I am tempted to open up a fuel station somewhere in Sol myself. My fuel stations in the far out regions don't really get much traffic so I might as well set one up somewhere, where they could be of use. Supplying them shouldn't be too difficult easy. Just means I will need to use a ship for dedicated cargo hauling and have more ships doing nest. Not a huge deal.
