Title: Proper Inter-Corp Diplomacy System Post by: Madden on April 14, 2015, 07:24:57 AM I would like to propose a proper alliance system where a corp could send a (alliance/war) treaty to another corp. Example:
Corp 1 offers Corp 2 an alliance Corp 2 accepts Now Corp 1 is attacked by Corp 3 If Corp 2 has no alliance treaty with Corp 3, all of Corp 2's ships in the same orbit will take part in the battle. :) You could make it deeper by making different kinds of 'alliances', for example: Alliance Treaty 1 will have Corp 2 taking part in battles if Corp 1 is the one being attacked, but if Corp 1 is the attacker, Corp 2 will not take part Alliance Treaty 2 is the vice versa of Alliance Treaty 1 Alliance Treaty 3 is a combination Alliance Treaty 4 will only help if the winning chances are higher than 50% or something like that. :D Title: Re: Proper Inter-Corp Diplomacy System Post by: NoBrain on April 14, 2015, 07:32:44 AM
Title: Re: Proper Inter-Corp Diplomacy System Post by: Raptor on April 14, 2015, 08:26:23 AM I like that idea, but then, it should also involve a system of formal declarations of war before any auto-involvements are triggered.
It should also be noted that this *can* potentially be abused to obtain cheap corp licenses. If New Rome were, for instance, to start a separate corp for its four legions, and they'd be full allies, all four corps would have cheaper access to corp ship licenses. Title: Re: Proper Inter-Corp Diplomacy System Post by: Madden on June 28, 2015, 02:52:18 AM Okay, old topic, but I still like this idea, so what about the fact that if an ally participates in a battle, it can only add 1/2 its Power to its ally's Power. Would that help prevent abuse of the feature?
