Title: nonGCA listing (for sale)
Post by: sargas on April 29, 2018, 08:56:11 PM
10 MK D standard shields (62875 power each) asking 7,000,000 in diamonds (or equivalent).

(edit - let's see how this will work for outsiders)

...SOLD...SOLD...SOLD...

Any chance the price could be lowered?

What is minimum?

GCA can handle up to 1m-m3/per transfer, but no reason a transfer couldn't be in multiple stages.

5000mk-EMS = $12,120,000-base = 6925.7m3-diamonds.  7,000m3-diamonds doesn't look like much markup?
(+ the 5% going to GCA for the handling)

I'll buy two of the shields please?  I wish I could afford all 10.

I'm only playing sporadically until May 6, however, I can log on to complete this transfer.  I am having a bit of trouble 'rejoining' the GCA but I hope that will resolve itself shortly.

I'm sorry, they have been sold.

That's why I suggested at the beginning that there should be no tax paid to the GCA (i.e., anyone can trade for free, and let me pay the manager's salary instead) to maximize attractiveness. :))

I want only one thing from GCA - to see good mods made available to new/recent players.
(something that frustrated me greatly before joining SPQNR!)

If you and Cliff work out a salary, I'll agree to changing the bylaws :-)

We could do that

Raphael, I think if you would subsidize the manager fee/salary that would be a big help.

I'm getting richer now...but a few months ago ever solar was sooo precious.  There needs to be a good profit - 5%-10% say - for the person who is giving up their manufacturing time to make modules.  That seems completely appropriate - would have been ever so much faster making money if I could have only bought some ACB 50's early in the game at a 10% markup.

A new player should realize fairly quickly they need some SLB's - so there should be some market for SLB's.  OR a new player could totally ignore science and buy 100% of their modules.  That would cost them 10%, say, more than making it themselves but they'd avoid the cost of buying SLB's and buying a Titan to put it on.  From a cashflow perspective for an early game newbie it would make so much sense to do that.  Only after you are over the 'getting to SOS hump' would you then need to buy some Titans and SLB's and start the research tree.

I'm thinking of making some "SOS starter packages" - 1xWHG 35, 6xACB 50 = $4209400+10%=$4,630,340.  That amount is well within striking distance for a player doing a week of intrastellar transport to Venus, Moon, Mars, Diemos, and Phobos.

We could do that

1 million solars, or 1 QP per trade. Would that be okay?  :)

That would be perfect

Want a minimum trade size on that, and a flat fee (30m3-diamonds ?) for any trade less than $1,000,000?

Sounds good

If Raphael's good with that, then need only Odlid's agreement and you can update the bylaws :-)

Hmm, 1m solars should be a minimum. Any trade less than 1m looks like a nuisance trade to me.

1mm solars seems fair.  With a single 'halfway through SEA' ship you can make 1mm solars doing intraSOL transport missions in about 8 hours of gameplay.

Fine by me :-)

Cliff, unless you want to allow smaller trades, $1m minimum it is..
