From other threads I know there is a 'Wormhole Shifter' which is implied to speed up interstellar jump calculation time.  What exactly is a Wormhole Shifter and what are it's mechanics?

Can a Wormhole Shifter be manufactured?  Or is this a relic you have to find in the ARC (Alien Remnant Cluster)? 

• If you can make them, then what would it cost to buy one through the GCA?
• If you can only find them, do you find them at Mark 1 and have to reverse engineer them up to Mark 10?  Is Mark 10 the max?

Or is Wormhole Shifter a new type of ship 'optimization' that you get somehow?

Wormhole Shifter can be bought for QP in Pledge/Donate system
Pledge -> Completed -> Mysterious encounters
A Wormhole Shifter cost 1500 QP

Thanks NoBrain.  But what exactly do you get for your 1500QP?  One shifter for one ship?  Shifters on all your ships?  What does the shifter exactly do?

Can a Wormhole Shifter ship be further optimized?  That is, could I add Freighter X optimization (which is an optimization allowed for 'All Ships') to a Shifter Ship?

Thinking of buying one, but at $1.5billion solars each I wanna know all about them before I make a very expensive mistake.

Also, can a captain only have one or, if you were rich, could you have a fleet of Shifter ships?

Wormhole Shifter Mk X is an optimization..
And if you have the funds you can have as many as you like.. I've 3 in use as patrol ships.. you might see one of them pass you.. Patrol Drone X1-3. :ninja:
