Farther away from the SOL system, greater is the prize you are paid. 500k is in the 4 corner of the map. Gradually I encourage you to go further and further depending on the cargo capacity of your ship(s).

Many smaller ships are better at start to do SOS missions. My opinion

The top corporations are all good.

After training it is a good idea to join a corp. But upgrade your cargo modules and engines to be able to do SOS missions. With time you will be able to have more SOS ships. If you do mining, do not do it at SOL, there are pirates. To do mining you need to defend your mining modules.

NoBrain: very similar ships: Cargo bay 300150 m3, Hangar bay: 752250 m3, fuel about the same.

My income is with one ship, it is a Cruiser | Hull Class V | Wormhole shifter Mk X  Without VIP and any officer it does 12 LY IN 1 MIN 18 SEC. I go around the base cluster (full circle) picking missions in about 3 hrs (ring 3 & 4)

Marines are used for att and def. Each one give 3 point per marine for each function: 3 x 1000 for att + 3 x 1000 for def. Base value: 1770 + 3000 + 3000 = 7770. If you simplify, calculate that a marine is worth 6 points. When you upgrade your MAU you only change the max number of marines you can have in the MAU, The calculations remain the same. The best way to boost your score is to have more marines.

When I do SOS I grab everything COM and SOS (I call myself: vacuum cleaner) to one exception, the prospectors of value 10 millions and more. I leave those for those that need them. I sell at earth and give the POD to our smallest players. The vacuum cleaner way is to prevent myself to go to the same mission a second time and also to regenerate SOS missions. I was generating a profit of about 8 millions an hour if I remember well.
