There seem to be an error in the calculations of total power of COM missions.

See my last one: 7 laser MK LVII at 90000 each for a total power of 630000;
                         6 Osmium MK LXVI at 129375 each for a total power of 776250;
                         I do not take into account the CDR and personnel.
                         My calculations: 630000 + 776250 for a grand total of 1406250 power.
                         But the total power shown: 1025330, and the pay is based on that last number.

Is there something I do not understand? At least it explains why I have so many battle draw (victory without craking the pirate hull) now. I need much more fire power and to train my gunners so they do not miss so often. And the pay is not what it was neither lol

I just checked 3 new attacks, 2 of those, your calculations give the same results as mine, the 3nd one with osmium armor give att 1103740/def 843750 total 1537205 but if add the att + def we get 1947490 instead????

It is not a printing press for solaris that I think of for sure, it is an abstraction for a factory that process material and gaz from the planet, sell that production and end up with a profit (could be agricultural, industrial, medical, energy, electronic...). As the owner of the factory, you get the profit from the factory. Then the name "Solaris factory"

Scion, I think you are missing the point completely. I explain:

You see me as the bad player, the big player. Man, not long ago, I was the underdog, my number is around 460. I did manage to move up the ladder because I am an active player first, second I have studied the game to find where was "the most bang for the buck" and found an answer. It is not the COM missions as you think, I am quite new to COM missions, it is high tech. I have built a spreadsheet to simulate all weapons, shields, armor at any MK level for their cost and power... and find the best combination.

What I have dicover is that there is steps in the game. 1- complete training; 2- do in system missions to buid your first SOS ship; 3-Use it to build more small cheap SOS ships (FTL + WD + CARGO this is all); research new tech for cargo and engines at the start and have a ship full of MK1 research lab; 4- when you have 4-6 low cost SOS ships running around in the galaxy, you use the huge profit you make to build your first COM or I prefer to call those warship with the High MK components you have found gives "the most bang for the buck". This is how I managed to get where I am now. Now I am waiting on the new special missions.

Then, the key to my success is a mix of hard work and cunning, not COM missions.

As for exchange between players, I have an active corp that have fun building their corp ships and exchanging a lot.

On the subject of the economy:

Yesterday I started the building of 12 high level marines to adapt my ships to the new reality of the COM missions. I required about 250000 metal and gaz to do it. And it is only 12 manufacturing bays. I have about 100 active manufacturing bays right now.

This is to say that with the number of active players actually in the universe, I beilive we are not numerous enough to satisfy my needs only in metal and gaz (not to mention all our needs). I also buy diamonds and uranium by the 1000's to be converted as fuel so my ships can do COM missions for a few weeks without comming back to earth. In my opinion, I do not beilive the proposed economic system would work. Let start with a market for exanging modules and ships and we will see how it work then we can think of how to expand it.

I would suggest the availability of a Solaris production factory that would produce solaris. There would be a tech tree to improve it. There could also be an advance factory like the other tech or similar as the science labs (one or the other).

Location: could only be intalled on planets, maybe a specific type of planet (ground and gaz maybe)

Advantage: force us to take possesion of planets and defend those planet. Will bring more competition and action to the game. Will bring more combats and alliance. Will also force cooperation with the corps. One more reason to be in a corp. It would add fun I think!!!!!

The problem still persit:

I received at 25 min of each hour the production of RP from my labs times my officer bonus of 30%. This is what it should be. At an other time during the hour I receive the amount of RP from my labs without the officer bonus. What I don't know is if it is sytematic every hour but it is very often.

before:
I had 7 ships and 2 CORP ships, the order of the ships in SITREP perfect.

action: I bought a new ship

Result: in COMMS -> SHIPS, the order of ships is OK but in SUPPORT -> SITREP the order of the ships is all mixed up.

I think I am getting more RP every hour than what I should get.

ex.: I spent all my RP and had 0 RP. I have a production of 313300 RP an hour but when the hour passed I had about 550000 RP, about 200000 more than I should

It is about time I presented myself:

I am a french canadian from the province of Quebec.

I love space game and I put a lot of time playing games. I have played a great number of games online and not online; that since the advent of personnal computers, my first one was a Commode 64  1

I like this game because if you play well you wont be attacked by anybody (think stay in space for every thing, be mobile...)
