its an ancient thread. started before hangar tech and promised after hangar tech was introduced and found to be mostly useless. The Hangar did get a small mod making it more practical however, but not the way i would consider a hangar to be used. Imagine your best aircraft carrier getting attacked from outside, and none of your fighters were deployed to defend it. all it becomes then is a carrier of aircraft and pointless

a bit of escapism, a bit of character development, growth, management, finding "curios"
It really all depends on what you want to develop as a player.
I love economics and building stuff, and logistics etc so i just love finding a new system and searching for its secrets, which is mostly minerals and then turning those resources into equipment.
IMG have always been dedicated to self support and to finally leave Sol system to be totally independent. Our model now is pretty close to full self sufficiency and we rarely need to go back to Sol, except for rapid upgrades or to turn in a rescue mission.
Sorry to hear the top corps have been hitting you, i know we were not one of them. We dont do that at IMG. We have a non aggression policy with everyone bar those who choose to inflict piracy or assaults on others.
Dont get me wrong though, we have many enemies, and right now that would be the top corps.
It has been that way for us since day "dot" that someone higher than us has been beating us down. We survived to be a reasonable force.
Joining a corporation other than Sol Corp has its benefits in more social interactions with more active players, as well as the support a corp can offer. The downside of course, is you take on its political status and its conflicts, if any.

As i stated, i was looking forward eagerly to the exact treaty to see what this neutral standing splinter group who wanted to be miners was going to go. Matamure's action showed me that result without fleshing out any details.
As JamJul correctly recalls, the attack on mad-mark was in reaction to other events aimed against IMG. IMG strike with honour and declaration and warning. I dont expect anyone else to follow my standards, they are quite high to meet.
We are resolved and disciplined to stop terrorism as always at IMG. Nothing has changed here. EOS has joined the drone clans of the borg. No biggie, you choose to use that tactic for your own reasoning is up to you. You can always expect a response from this office.

2. NHC was in the top 3 and was number 1 a long time. They were never pirates. There was only one pirating corp in the top 3 at the time and that was my corp. We are no longer a pirating corp. Yes I occasionally hit people but that doesn't make the entire corp a pirating corp.  There is one consistent thing I have noticed though. That is your paranoia and your love of war.

So in declaring war on EOS as you suggest, oh sage of the vague guesses, the almighty Jamjul,  where exactly did that happen? Where did we openly attack an EOS establishment? Where was there a formal declaration of war? EOS and sargas has always been outspoken toward me, and so it is within my right to be outspoken to them. Not once did IMG forces strike a member of EOS. The treaty with SSS and my questioning it sparked the attack, which showed finally EOS's true identity. And also its demise.
You have seen a quick response to what happened at Jupiter, Matamure of [EOS]. More to come for your members i am afraid to say.
