hah i thought you meant i need to learn to read 13  but i just double checked and i can only see the sector the mining mission is in not the value or amount i paid for it 13  So that indeed would be a great solution.  just the value of the deposit when in cargo would be amazing.

Same for COM missions, to see the reward value when the tracker is in cargo would be so helpful.

how do you keep the bad missions separated from the good missions?  lol my cargo is a mess of prospectors.  i figured i'd just write down which to keep but lol i have 3 in the same secotr.  2 are horid and one is good.  but which?
18  Feedback Terminal / Suggestions / Star Map Indicator on: February 05, 2015, 07:40:54 PM
It's a potentially small thing, but I would like to see my current ship Sensor/Nav Computer range around my ship when looking at the Star Map.

Also, this would need to be scalable/variable due to modules that increase sensor range as well as some ships with 32ly range.

The other thing I wanted to ask is if the Navigation screen is scalable for those people that have greater than 16-20ly.   Do you get to see everything out to the red circle of your sensor range or is it off screen?

I sent an PM to SirEmi the other day and got back a couple responses.  I'm very glad to see this as a topic for discussion.

I'll edit my post with the information he said to me so he doesnt have to repeat himself.

I'm not sure about some of things he stated (meaning i dont know how it works exactly) but he's the man, so i believe him

Re: SOS Signals

Hello,
There are about 15 missions / quadrant, that will regenerate every hour. So if you wait near an empty area for about an hour you will see more missions. There is also an expiry timer, so if SoS missions don't get contacted they will go away and be replaced with another.

If all the Com missions get completed, and the other missions do not, then the expiry timer will clear them out in time, it's 24 hour expiry time I think.

Have fun, and if you need more info feel free to post on the forum about it.

Thank you,

Re: Re: Re: SOS Signals

Hello,

While the system generates random / equal numbers of SoS and Com missions, however that is not the case in reality.

More Com missions get picked up in more populated areas, and the expire timer is 72 hours not 24, so there are usually more SoS signals to be found then Com, but that's just natural selection.
