I confirm that I'll buy a Titan for the GCA corp.

I run my cashflow down to about 50million so might need a few days to gather back up the cash.  Haven't played for a few days (Wanee music festival - sooo much fun) but am back now.

I'm keen to know how you did that in Autocad?  I can't figure out where I am, exactly, within a quadrant.  You get an 'idea' of where you are looking at the Starmaps page but it is not like knowing you are at (3.1287,-1.8472).  Does Autocad help with this in some way?

I think your math is off a bit.

Distance across=32LY  Therefore 10000 ring * 32 LY/ring = 32000 LY

A moderate WHG 50 on a frigate with Nav Optimization X + Nav officer + VIP = 318Fuel/16LY jump.  320000LY * 318 Fuel / 16LY = 6,360,000 fuel one way.  With VIP 1 Diamond = 58 fuel.  Therefore you'd need to carry 6360000fuel/(58 fuel/diamond)= 109655 diamonds (which if purchased at Sol would be a mere $230millon solars - a pittance given the epic nature of this quest).  You have 7 cargo slots on a frigate (after the necessary WHG slot).  You'd therefore need to build out 7 fairly modest ACB 210's to carry all the diamonds you'd need.

Each 16LY jump with the above takes 15 minutes.  You'd need to do 320000 LY/16LY/jump = 20000 jumps.  At 15min/jump * 20000jumps = 300000minutes = 208 days (assuming you jumped immediately after the timer finished.)  Of course you'd abandon the ship - it would take 2x the fuel and 2x the time to bring it back again.

That is the lowbie way to do it.  Alternately you could have your frigate with 4xWHG 500's which would dramatically increase the diamond cost and ACB mark required for huge decrease in the total time it takes to do the trip.

Them make the minimum fee 5 diamonds.  A newbie source of diamonds is Sol = $10500.  Or alternately make the minimum fee 6 diamonds which nets the manager $10500 if she sells the diamonds at Sol.

I trade you 50 ACB 200's for your 15 SLB 300's.  What is the manager's fee?

Perhaps there would be a way to have two (2) Counter ships - say Counter 1 and Counter 2 - to allow the GCA manager to have less administrative tasks?  Seller gets cargo rights to Counter 1, buyer gets cargo rights to Counter 2, both get view rights to each?

I'm with Raphael on the 'only want to see it succeed'.  I'll donate $100million to help defray the original costs.

Thanks!  Jan 4th it is!

I'm not so interested in going out that far.  I am interested, though, in doing a complete sweep of the area in, say, -100,-100 to 100/100.  Doing some quick math:

200^2=40,000 sectors.
Total LY's to traverse them=32ly/sector*200*201=1,286,400 LY (assuming a spiral pattern originating at Sol)

For example, in a frigate, WHG 50, scout ship optimized, NAV officer, VIP, it takes 318m^3 fuel to go 16LY and takes 15minutes to do so.
= 25,567,300 m^3 fuel = $767,016,000   Assume Diamonds are used as fuel then ~$1 billion
 = 1,206,000 minutes NAV calc time = 837.5 days

If 5 active corps/independents put up, say, 5 ships each this could be accomplished in about two months time.  In the grand scheme of things the money is fairly trivial however the time commitment is big.

I am at a lowly 1.7million power but my RP/Hr is 900K+.  My power could, of course, have been much higher had I been focusing on that.  I realized, very late <facepalm/> that SOS missions need zero offense to make money as there are almost no 'chance meetings' of players while doing SOS missions.  So far the only player I've seen at an SOS mission has been my own ship <double facepalm/> jumping to an already rejected Mining mission.

However it seems that Mining is yet another thing.  Twice I've found nice deposits of Diamond and was peacefully mining it when other players have blown me up.  I had no defenses at all and mistakenly thought that distance from Sol meant security.

I am finishing up my goals (above-eta 5 weeks from now), and assuming that I can mine without being blown up with a good Assault Bomber and some MAU's on the ground which we will see, then my plans are to build out 2.5Million RP/Hr and learn how to do COM missions.  Unfortunately that will take an additional 5-6 weeks to accomplish.  I've found a while back that if I don't make a plan and stick to it that I end up willy-nilly spending cash and RP and get nowhere at all so this is the plan for now.

To be honest I am not sure my interest in the game will last that long.  I LIKE the game but I am coming to really dislike the amount of needless mouse clicking you have to do to accomplish tasks.  Why can't you, for example, use 20million RP on upgrading ACB's without clicking over and over?  Or even more so, why can't you just go to manufacturing and providing you have the slots, $$, and cargo space you just mark upgrade/start manufacturing the item in one or two clicks?
