I want to try different things, but I'm patient and I want to try them when I'm strong enough to have a good chance at success.

How was that for equivocating? 21

So which is the better approach? Many Ships of small to moderate size ... or just a couple of large ships?

My instinct tells me to just build my two heavy frigates up, (increasing hull size as I can afford it). Keep one in Sol, as a science/manufacturing platform ... running local taxi service, and the other as an interstellar explorer/mining ship. At least at first ... any thoughts?

Yes ... I leave the satellite in orbit and go about other business with my ship.
Yes ... there is one cargo module on the satellite.
I didn't know to check the fill rate, so I'm not sure.

I've scooped the mining module and the satellite for now and am concentrating on taxi missions and exploring signals. Trying to make solars for upgrades.  I have some other questions ... may I message you directly?

It took me a few days, but I kept re-starting to be sure I had the game mechanics down pat.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I can't seem to mine anything. I'm sure I have my modules fully staffed. I Deploy my Satellite, I deploy my mining module on the surface. No problem so far.

From the satellite I choose surface control. I order the mining module to mine a mineral. I get the message "mining operation changed". I check back x hours later, (where x= any number from 2 to 12), and try to load my mineral and get the error message "nothing to unload" ...Can someone explain my error?

P.S. I'm amused by the HTML coding in the forum. I'm glad some things dont change over the decades.  laugh

This sounds like a very good Idea. In my previous experience with MMORGs there aren't many high-level gamers willing to be this magnanimous.

Ditto to what he said ... I'm one step from graduation ... Just need to wait till I can vote again.

Excellent ... Now I just have to find a Corporation that's a good fit for a nubie.

After you done with SEA, your should consider joining a Corp.. to get a boost and help you..
I have had some bad experiences with "Guilds" in another MMORG. Everyone was in a constant state of total server war. I am a casual player, (meaning I don't spend my life glued to the computer), and found it very discouraging. What is the political situation like in this game?

I'm brand new to this game. I find it fascinating so far ... just about to finish my training. Not sure what I should do next. I imagine I should hang around Sol amd nearby Stars ... Do a little mining, run a "taxi service", and just explore these environs until I can raise enough money for a bigger/ better ship.

Any tips?
