1  General Talk / Hi. My name is... / Re: Hi, Solaryx is here on: September 10, 2018, 02:50:13 PM
According to the SPQNR constitution you will not be labled inactive until you have been inactive for 500 contiguous hours. After 1000 hours absent you will be booted unless specific arrangement has been made with one of the Consuls. My own son, (flesh of my flesh), is in danger of being labeled inactive. I'll have to get on him about that.

thank you Gildavinor for pointing out this fact, it's good to know, especially since I'm also considering joining maybe your team as well, you guys are on my short list so to speak, in time by the end of my tutorial, I'll try to narrow down to 2-3 corporations to chose from and approach the recruiters and/or leaders to ask for more details in private

for now, I'm still working on the tutorial tasks, as I am aware I need to learn at least the very basics... hehe...
but, once I'm done with the tutorial, then my next step will be to join a team... I don't know which one yet, but you guys are on my list...

on the list of top corporations, most corporations listed above WOP are active and will give the boot to anyone who is inactive. (the Empire boots after 1000 hours of inactivity and they are permitted to return).

You would find a good fit with any of them (us, perhaps?)

Edit to remind all that my biggest fault is my affection for

 ...editing...

Thank you Sargas for the warm invite, I may just join your team if you're more lenient with the non-activity thing...

I plan to stick around, but I already know I may not be able to log in on a daily basis, due to time limitations, like but not limited to family, friends, job, and not lastly playing other games too... hehe...

I plan to log in at least few times a week, if not almost daily, based on how fast and spectacular (by my own standards) I'll grow, and if I'll make some progress in-game...

and, as a side note, me too tend to edit and re-edit often my posts, mainly 'cause of my prefectionist nature, even if it's just to correct a spelling or wording error, that bugs me, if not more... hehe...

Thank you all for the warm welcome and I mean it...

It's nice to see an active and vibrant community so I think I'm in the right place

I assume I'll soon graduate by finishing the tutorial and I guess at that point the next natural step would be to join a team that will help me grow so I'm open to see who's active around and will be glad to have me around as well

Another new player interested in learning what corporations are active and what their play style is.  Thank you!

Me too I'll keep an eye on this topic maybe not daily but at least few times a week☺

Hi all,

my in-game name is Solaryx

I just found this game, now in Aug-Sept 2018, in fact looking for some browser games about space exploration and planets colonization, as it's a subject, a topic that always fascinated me

I'm what some definitely can call a gamer, I play games, if and when I have some time, I usually play games online or in singleplayer mode on my gaming PC at home, or on my laptop if I'm on the go

I don't particularly like PvP warlike games, alto' an old gamer like myself I started way before WoW, or Tribal Wars or Eve and others, so I can handle, but I don't like them, as in those kind of games usually bullies - digital, virtual or real - are thriving

I personally like a more peaceful and cooperative game environment, yet with a social aspect to it as well, where players interact with each other, not necessarily to virtually kill each other, but more to build something together

I hope, this is my kind of game and I hope I'll stick around to enjoy it... I'm allergic to bullies tho' especially in a virtual environment, where it's not like in a gym, to hit back, so, if I meet many around, I for one, I won't waste my time...

that's me guys and gals if you see me in-game, and you like my style, send me a friends/buddy request so we can keep in touch...

After training it is a good idea to join a corp. But upgrade your cargo modules and engines to be able to do SOS missions. With time you will be able to have more SOS ships. If you do mining, do not do it at SOL, there are pirates. To do mining you need to defend your mining modules.

Good Luck and have fun.

I'm new too and I'll introduce myself soon...

but I just wanted to say I think that's good advice about the cargo and engines, I'll start working on that on my end, so thanks for sharing tips and advice with us

if you can find me in-game send me a friend/buddy request, I'll do the same if I'll find you first...
7  Feedback Terminal / Suggestions / Spin the stars/planets/stations on: September 04, 2018, 07:44:58 PM
Hi all,

I'm new to this game, I just found it, as such I think I see it, the interface, the look, the feel of it, with some fresh eyes

so one first thing that I see it could improve the game in a cosmetic way, is to give a small-slow animation spin to the stars/planets/stations

yes, I know it's just a cosmetic aspect, we can do without it as well, as you all are doing already since the game was launched, so it's not urgent, is not critical either

but, for a newbie like me, just joining in, I'd say the look is also important - not critical, but important - and having a small animation to spin the stars, the planets, the stations, brings a bit of realism and makes it more exciting in my humble opinion

maybe this suggestion was already posted by someone else, maybe it was already addressed, and that's OK, if I'm not the first, it means indeed we could use some improvement in this area - there is always room for improvement, I hope you all agree on that

that being said, I came here in fact, from another similar game - I won't mention names, as it's not the time or place - but the first thing I noticed here, was the static starts/planets/stations, the lack of their spin, that will imply the life of the space, or the universe we all operate under - hence, to me, is lacking realism

yes, it's a game simulation, I know that, but some minim level of realism and authenticity is expected, even if it's a game

or it's just me, the perfectionist in me... hehe...

either way, if possible to implement, simply cosmetic or not, I don't think adding a spin animation will hurt the overall performance of the game for users - but that's for the devs to decide

thank you
8  Corporation General Talk / Corporation Recrutment / Re: PT Recruitment on: September 04, 2018, 07:09:25 PM
Anyone willing to join us at PT? We have a government with a written constitution, but we don't have enough members. We would be grateful for help. The only penalty for inactivity is loss of rank, not being kicked out, and at least four of the eight members are always active. We also accept applications to be protectorates, which are essentially separate corporations with their own governments that are considered part of PT. While we are prepared to offer modules, the chances of this are low. If we must bribe you to join, you probably won't be too loyal anyway, and the corporation with the most loyal members will win in the end, no matter it's strength. 17

Here is a link to the website if you want to see government: https://sites.google.com/view/ag-pt-archives
Please regard this as a token of our good will and trust towards all corporation.

please change your fronts color, make it in a clear strong contrast with the background, as it is now, it's incredibly hard to read, and I assume you want readers to be able to easily read what you post here for us all to see
9  Corporation General Talk / Corporation Recrutment / Re: IDL Recruiting! 100% Guaranteed Admittance! on: September 04, 2018, 06:32:50 PM
Best of luck getting members. It seems to me none of the new players stay long enough and none of the old players want to join a new corporation. Also, if you want the new players, most don't bother to look in the forums or past the first page of the top corporations. PT only really started getting people when we attacked them like we did to TA, or when we got on the first page. Since it is my duty as PT's advertiser, I would like to remind new corporations that PT protectorate applications are always welcome.

with all due respect, allow me to put in my 2 lil' cents here

1. I'm new to this game, just found it, just joined, and I'm browsing the forum for a respectable and active team to join
- yes, I'm a newbie here, but not new to games, on the contrary, I'm what some may call an old, old gamer, since way before WoW and Tribal Wars and Eve
- as such, I'm not so new to teaming up, organizing and building a team, a corporation in here, guild, federation or however it may be called in other games

2. As a newbie if a stronger and more powerful player/s will attack me, for no reason, with no dumb provocation from me, I take this as bullying behavior and I just leave, abandon that game entirely, as it's a proof to me the game has bullies and it's allowed - unfair battle should never be allowed
- even more so, assuming I'd stay around a little, to get my feet wet, I would never join a corporation who in fact started to attack me, for no reason

that being said, once again, with all due respect, if it's not a "fair for all" gameplay environment, with bullies attacking other smaller, weaker players for intimidation or "recruiting" purposes I'll just leave without ever looking back and with no regrets, as luckily, as you all know, we gamers have so many options to chose from and so little time to play all those great games inviting us

if you want active players, around you, to maybe join your team, to have fun with, don't bully them, on the contrary, help them, treasure them and the community as a whole will grow healthier

if you bully the new guy and think that's OK, then definitely this is not a good place to stick around for long

just my 2 cents, that's all, no offense intended at all
