We're doing a 15 minutes maintenance on the database to upgrade some tables.

It should fix all issues related with not being able to deploy modules on some planets and AI planetary forces.

This will also prepare the road for the upcoming content.

They're not as powerful, but still useful. (You just need more of them  1 )

The alien cluster will get new content, new modules, specific quests, it will be interesting to explore. Also, SOL might create an outpost there and it will post inter-cluster bulletin board missions 1

Now would be a good time to post them (we still have some of the QP's needed to advance something).

What is coming after Novae?

Black holes that are left by the bigger exploding stars. A local system view in the vicinity of black holes.

Then:
- events, quests near black holes, new missions deriving from these
- special events between the star clusters and around the lone wolf stars
- new technology, archaeological finds, new ships types like alien / unknown derelict ships to be claimed
- anomalies and events within events (e.g. anomaly in the vicinity of a black hole or wormhole, that opens a quantum hole in space/time continuum)
- improving the way we interact with the navigation / system maps. Objects / actions / notifications drawn directly on the map canvas.
- dynamically changing the system maps as events happen (e.g. a cataclysmic event that destroys a planet, or changes the state of a planet from gas to solid, a derelict becomes active, an anomaly closes or reacts to user actions)

The front page had to be mobile friendly so we can get a high ranking with the search engines, and so that people on mobiles can easily register.

We're already seeing an increase in traffic and page ranking due to search engine optimization.

The upcoming updates are all new content, so don't worry   1

I want it to be as detailed as the planetary system view... we have the graphics, but need to put them into context.

Map similar to a star system view, detailing the surroundings of a wormhole.

Objects of interest may constitute in debris field, wreckage, derelicts.

Object types depend on area of exploration / star cluster. In alien area remnants of alien technology will be present.

Some objects will require closing in and scanning for detailed information with the chance to find out some treasure or start events / quests to uncover artifacts and new technology.

* Ship scan computer will now remember scanning data during the session

* Combat missions difficulty decreased because there are more pirate ship types like:
   - Shield tanker, Reinforced Hull tanker, Decoy
   - On higher power missions: Interceptor / Tackler
   - Pirate Hijacker mission reward multiplier has been increased to 150% of enemy power

* Balancing
   - Using of AP to speed up combat timers was never encouraged. AP was mostly intended for space exploration with the game stands for.
   - Thus we decided, in the interest of balance for existing and future events / missions and with regards to PvP fair play, that AP can no longer be used to speed up combat. This will make a more even playing field and enable the addition of the new event quests.

* Dialog windows greatly improved to scale better on mobile devices / tablets
