This may be a long shot because this platform isn't incredibly active these days but I'm looking for a bit of advice from the elders who still poke in here and there

On your SOS Combat ships Is there a certain manpower-to-shield ratio you shoot for? Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems combat modules mostly come down to marines for attack and shields for defense (since weapons only shoot once and can miss, and armor must be repaired if damaged).

Just looking for a more optimal build for blowing these pirates out of orbit
Also figured someone should wipe the dust of this forum  laugh

Yeah I disable the marines to as low as I can without an attack fail which lowers the time. But even then the timer is over a month on a 89 million pirate. I see players spawning pirates over a billion and as a joke I tested how long it would take for me and it was like 68,000 hours lol and I was only 1/15 the pirate power so I can't imagine if I was at a point to beat pirates that strong what the timer would be.

I just did not know if there is some kind of trick to fight such big targets that I may not know of.

Hey everyone, so I am hoping for some guidance into how to not have battle timers over a month long which for my current ship of 120 million is a baby to many of you lol. I see battles with over 1 billion and the timer literally was 14 years!!
I use 48x shields and 38x marines. I see the laser and railguns but would these not miss a lot especially with the dodge rates of the pirates especially interceptor?

How are you very high up players handling big power fights? Is there a trick / good way to have a very low battle time? Thanks for any help!
