After scouring (well , getting bored of looking ) through the forum for answers ; is the Alpha planet / moon(s) the closest to the star as science says , or is the closest one actually the one depicted on the system screen ?     a few tries with my mk? SHI has failed to give me any conclusive results . . .

Alpha is 'closest' as far as this is concerned.
