Will be available from SOL Shipyards, next to orbital stations.
Mark from I to X, cost / garrison / size / bonus depends on mark level.
Mark Garrison Size Fortification bonus Cost I 5000 marines 5000 m3 +25% ???
- Fortress, planetary: Deployed on a planet surface, it provides a tactical hitpoint advantage to all military and civilian personnel on the surface by X%. Full garrison need to be maintained for maximum efficiency. Higher mark provides greater boost. Fortress bonus is applied after the default fortification bonus, thus a marine will have 9 / 15 HP + fortress bonuses, e.g. 15 HP with +200% fortress bonus = 15 + 15*200/100 => 45 HP / marine - 5000 marines garrison for MK I - takes 5000 m3 cargo space for MK I, has to be deployed like a station but goes on planet surface. Can not be installed on ship or station, can only be deployed. - once deployed, it needs to be garrisoned with marines from a ship's marine assault units, Deploy to fort / Shuttle to ship on surface command of the fortress module.

I am going to assume that these fortresses can only be deployed onto a planet that a MAU can be deployed to (not asteroids or gas giants)...

That's right, the fortress can be deployed only on solid ground, rocky planets.
The fortress module is transported in the cargo bay similar to how the station is transported. Once in orbit at the desired planet / moon, a deploy order is issued. Then the fortress needs to be garrisoned with marines from the ship in orbit. Once garrisoned, the fortification bonus becomes active, and all personnel on the ground benefit. Makes for tougher to loot mining outposts or simply to fortify a planet.

I assume then you are going to make it possible to transfer personnel that are on the surface of a planet then from one module to another. That really needs to be added in. Some thing for space stations.

Agreed, its annoying to have to keep scooping and deploying modules to manage personnel. I also think you should be able to place a unit on to a planet surface or station from your cargo bay. If you change one, then the mechanics of the other makes sense.

I've noted it and will add the option to manage personnel on planet from a MAU / LVQ module on the planet surface. That way you manage it remotely too, with a station in orbit. Will also add custom percents while at it.

Yeah, I'm working on this one, would be nice to fortify the planet Now the personnel modules work on planets too, it should be no problem.

I don't know, why don't you try some and see... ...let us know how 'you' did... I can set up a base full of small fortresses somewhere so we can check this out. Who wants to attack?
