If I start a corporation later on will I be able to rename it? Or is it stuck with the same name forever?

Is that a normal option in the corp management board? Or would I need to message support to have Sir Emi do it?

You have to contact SirEmi and have him do it.

You'd have to message SirEmi.

But be careful as if you start a corp now and then decide a month or two later to join an established corp I don't think you keep all of the corp stuff.
So in that scenario you either go ahead and blow what you invested in corp ship hulls etc, or just endure your corp progress being slooow(unless you're a good recruiter or have friends that will join.

Thank you.

Personally I think there should be an option to allow corp leaders to do this themselves without contacting you. Just like they can with name changes.

Agreed. Also put a little fee on it.

And since we are talking about corps, also add a tiny benefit to those who have bigger/top corps. This is the only game I've seen where corp ranking don't mean !@#$. LOL

To be fair a person's actual ranking usually means something too in a game. On here power doesn't always mean poop. It can't always gauge exactly where a person is in the game. Not to mention 1 person can be enough to throw a corp into a top position on here. What would your corp ranking be if you weren't in it?  On most games it takes more then one player to be able to put a corp into a top position.  I am not sure if there really should be a reward since things are so off as it is.

Thank you.

New question. What does the "VIP Member" mean in the permissions selection?

That would be like if you had someone has a 2nd in command or whatever. They are a very important person in your corp and you wouldn't want anyone kicking them out if they have the power to kick out members.  This way the only way they can be kicked out is if you as corp leader kicked them out.
