Trips to the moons of Uranus are a lot more profitable.  At least until you can get out and start doing SOS's and COMs.

Sure you do.  The missions you don't want to do just talk to them while your at Earth and dismiss them there.  It won't cost you nothing. Then new random missions will appear back on Earth.

You only  have to pay when your away from Earth.  At Earth it is free.  Just like if you happen to pick up a COM mission but lose track of what system it is for, you can take them back to Earth and let them go free of charge.

You still hanging around sol doing base missions BBGoode? I was expecting to see you amongst the stars by now. No profit in those intra-stellar sheep herding jobs

I agree. I only did them in my early days and combined them with my pirating activities. Only hitting targets where I had missions at for extra cash. Of course once I started SOS missions those quickly become obsolete lol

I am doing both at the moment. Once I upgrade my research vessel to handle doing all the Sol taxi service, I will enlarge and move my second ship out to the deeps.

to be honest BBGoode i wouldnt waste the fuel right now, and also risk exposure of your science vessel in an orbit that could be attacked. But i guess missions are very subjective, based on your ability to earn. I am laying down $10M combat missions+ right now so i dont consider shuttle runs very profitable at all vs risk.

BB, if your research vessel is only doing research, you might think about hiding it in deep space, just jump 1LY using your nav star (that's where mine is)...
