- Colonization dome
-> Has to be purchased from Sol, can only be carried in cargo bay
-> Can only be deployed on Terran planets
-> After deployment, it needs to be loaded with civilians. It also acts as a personnel facility.
-> Civilians will reproduce depending on the mark and size on the colony
-> The dome generates tax income depending on number of colonists living there. Tax can be collected by the dome owner by visiting the colony.

- Terraform factory
-> planet needs to be in the habitable zone witch will be viewed in system
-> pumps hydrogen, nitrogen & oxygen into the planet to terraform it
-> needs to be loaded with hydrogen, nitrogen and oxygen witch it disperses in the atmosphere, generating or replenishing atmospheric gases
-> time to terraform and amount of resources needed depends on the planet size
-> amount dispersed m3 / hour depends on mark level
-> more facilities will terraform faster
   -> Terraform course Methane/Lava -> Barren -> Desert -> Ice -> Ocean -> Terran

Sounds interesting... is there a timeline for when these might be available?

  • IMO would be best if purchasable from SOL shipyard Mk1-10 available for purchase.
  • would be more realistic if it was upgrade-able to a higher Mk level. This could be done either automatically upon reaching maximum population or require materials and or technology to do so. (in personal, below MAU tech.) I would make no maximum colony size and a MK 1000 colony would be truly stupendous. Only smaller colonies could be moved to a different planet, once it reaches a certain size (Mk-eleven?) it can't be moved.
  • Possibly make it a maximum of one colony per planet. In this case, have a colony license similar to a ship or station license.
  • Make sure that colonies work with planetary forts.

As there are currently hundreds of Terran planets in the main cluster I can't see much demand for a terraform factory. One possible solution to this is if there was a bonus from SOL for each level of transforming completed.

I would create a terraform tech, it could be below specialized miners in mining/harvesting or below reverse engineering in science.

I would set a minimum size for being able to terraform, possibly a 9 slot planet. After all small bodies such as Luna (earths moon) are too small to hold onto an atmosphere.

It will probably work the same way as the Planetary Fortress.

I'd prefer clones/killer droids. They're much more loyal than humans. 1
